COVID-19

Nirrumbuk Environmental Health and Services provides direct support to many communities with their Local Pandemic Action Plans.

COVID-19 Vaccination

We work with other services such as Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services to deliver vaccination events across the Kimberley region.

Kimberley Coronavirus Animation

The ‘Kimberley Coronavirus Animation’ was produced, directed and edited by Bernadette Trench-Thiedeman in collaboration with Nirrumbuk Environmental Health and Services, Chris Griffiths, Alana Hunt and Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services. Voiced in Kriol, the animation explains how COVID-19 can spread, and how it can be prevented.

Culturally specific overcrowding guideline

The Paul Ramsay Foundation has supported COVID-19 research through the Peter Doherty Institute to the Australian Partnership for Preparedness Research on Infectious Disease Emergencies (APPRISE). Through this initiative we are the lead investigator of a project to develop a culturally specific overcrowding guideline for COVID-19 pandemic planning, response and recovery in remote Kimberley communities.

Regarding the 2021 COVID-19 Vaxathons:
