National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
We provide the following NDIS supports:
Assistance with travel/transport
We can assist you with travel/transport arrangements outside of your home to achieve your goals.
NDIS funding may be accessed to pay a provider to transport you to an activity if you can’t use public transport without substantial difficulty due to your disability. For example, we can provide assistance with travel to and from appointments with a GP or a physiotherapist, or to and from your workplace.
Household tasks
NDIS funding for household tasks enables you to access supports dependent on your disability.
If you find it difficult to engage in daily chores and efficiently perform activities around your home it is likely that your NDIS plan will include services for household tasks.
We can assist you with a variety of tasks such as:
- Vacuuming and mopping floors
- Dusting and wiping surfaces
- Cleaning your kitchen including sinks, taps, benches and microwaves
- Cleaning your bathroom including toilets, showers and baths
- Other household tasks as permitted in your NDIS plan
We can also assist with activities such as:
- Tidying your backyard
- Gardening
- Grocery shopping
- Disposing of garbage
Assistance in managing life stages, transitions and supports / coordination of supports
NDIS funding can assist you to build the skills you need to understand and implement or use your NDIS plan. Your Support Coordinator will work with you to ensure the right types of supports are in place to increase your capacity to achieve your goals, maintain relationships, access service providers, live more independently, increase your skills, and be included in your community or in employment. This may include helping you to:

Assistance with social and community participation
This funding can assist you to meet your goals for participating in community, social or recreational activities. This funding also covers support for activities that are either centre-based or available in the wider community, such as attending a gardening group.
All supports funded under this item need to be determined as reasonable and necessary as aligned to the goals in your NDIS plan.
The NDIS may fund a support worker to assist you to:
- Attend personal development courses
Spend time on Country - Visit your local library
- Go to community events or a concert
- Join a sporting club, volunteer or social group
Assistance with daily personal activities
This funding can assist you to meet your personal goals. It is intended to assist you with regular tasks and chores that might be done in the usual course of a day, such as getting out of bed, showering, eating, and getting around.
The NDIS may fund a support worker to assist you with tasks, supervise you while you perform tasks, or the support worker may do these tasks for you if you are unable to do them yourself.
The NDIS may fund a support worker to assist you to:
- Get ready for your day such as showering and dressing
- Get out and about in the community including driving you to places or accompanying you on public transport
- Do household chores such as cleaning
- Get help around the yard such as lawn mowing
- Prepare food and meals, or pay for the costs associated with meal delivery
- Undertake health and fitness activities
- Get to appointments
Personal Mobility Equipment
This funding covers aids to help you reach your goals and can include Mobility Aids and Assistive Technology (AT).
AT covers a broad range of aids and supports such as a manual or power wheelchairs and motorised scooters.
In order to be eligible for funding, AT must be included as a specific type of support in your NDIS plan. The AT must be related to your disability and must help your in achieving your goals.

Development of daily living and life skills
This funding covers support for training and development across a range of life skills to build the skills you need to meet your goals. This is aimed at building your capacity to manage day‐to‐day life, through the development of knowledge, skills and networks of support.
The NDIS may fund a support worker to assist you to develop:
- Numeracy, literacy and financial management skills development
- Independence to manage your finances, including managing a bank account
- Navigating myGov and other government websites
- Your skills for communication and independent living
